6th September 2007
E-wire are pleased to announce that SELECTV is now available in the Iluka
Estate. SELECTV is Australia's newest digital subscription TV service and is a
great mix of TV channels at an affordable price. SELECTV's Great TV package
currently offers a total of 22 channels, including five movie channels,
all providing premium content from some of the best Australian and
International media companies.
SELECTV will be made available over the e-wire network through the use of a set-top-box
without the need for a satellite dish.
The pricing is expected to be as follows: Set-top-box and Smart
card for $70.00 (rrp $199.95), "Great TV" Package $34.95/month,
International and Add On Packages are available.
If you have any queries regarding SELECTV or any other matter, please do
not hesitate to contact the e-wire Support Team on 1300 135 231 or via email
(support@e-wire.net.au)
TV Plus
E-wires TV Plus service provides additional general interest satellite channels at no additional
cost to Iluka residents.
Please note that since the service is supplied free of charge from the original
program providers, they can, from time to time be subject to change and can be removed without
notice as has occurred recently with BBC World.
Details are available on the e-wire TV Plus web page.
What about Foxtel?
The question has been asked many times, why do Iluka residents need to install a satellite dish
to subscribe to Foxtel when there is a perfectly good cable system already available? We checked
with e-wire and their answer was ..."We have tried to talk to Foxtel in regards to
using our cable network, however they prefer to use satellite where their own cable is not
available (even though it would probably be cheaper for them to use our cable).
Unfortunately Foxtel is still only available via satellite in Iluka". So please don't
blame e-wire who have tried repeatedly to provide this service to Iluka, it is Foxtel who won't
to come to the party.
