Road Safety for the Holiday Season
With the holiday season now upon us, we would like to encourage everyone to
take extra care on the roads over Christmas and New Year.
The Office of Road safety is this summer running a campaign to draw attention to the
risks associated with drink driving. Did you know that drink
driving contributes to one in every four fatal crashes and about 27% of Western Australian
drivers drove home after drinking at least once in the past twelve months?
The campaign is focused on educating drivers about the effects of alcohol on judgment and reflexes,
knowing how much alcohol is too much and
offers tips on being a responsible host.
