1st November 2005: Temporary diversion for the upgrade of Burns Beach Rd.
A proposal to divert traffic through Venice Entrance for the duration of the upgrade to
Burns Beach Road was not fully supported by residents. As a result an alternative proposal has
been put forward.
It is now proposed to close Burns Beach Road between Delgado Parade and a point west
of the current development work and construct a temporary sidetrack for vehicles running
parallel to the existing Burns Beach Road.
Pedestrian traffic will be directed on the path in Venice Entrance and along a temporary
path until rejoining the existing path.
This diversion is required to remove pedestrian and vehicle traffic away from the work
area, making it safer for both workers and the public and will be in place from early
November.
